Decades ago one of my relatives, Hilde, bought these for everyone in the family. They quickly became the go-to utensil for the many baked goods (especially pie) that arrived at each family gathering, and without a better name for it everyone starting calling it the "Hilde's Tool." They have become deeply treasured items, and are still called the "Hilde's Tool" in the family, all these years later. Thank you for being part of our family life and family story!
P.S. This spatula is wonderful. It is literally the best thing ever for serving pies, cakes, casseroles, etc.
