Not Just For Scooping Ice Cream

I have used this ice cream scoop for MANY years--but scooping ice cream (no matter how hard it may be) is just one thing it is good for. I use it mainly to scrape the bottom of my pot when I cook grits, oatmeal, gravy, candy, cooked pudding, and anything else that tends to stick to the bottom of a pot if you are not diligent to stir it every so often or constantly (whichever the case may be). The flat part of the scoop works as a scraper to keep food from sticking. I also make homemade sourdough bread and have to mix the dough by hand (for some reason, using a dough hook on my electric mixer causes my dough to NOT rise properly). It takes a lot of strength and a strong spoon that you can get a good grip on to stir the dough until there is no dry flour in the mixing bowl. This is one of my FAVORITE kitchen tools of all time--and I prefer the black handle because I can get a better grip on it. I like it so much that I have bought several of these scoops over the years and have given them as gifts to very special friends and family members.

Very pleased with both utensils. Ice cream scoop cuts right through ice cream much easier than standard scoops. Pie server with a little teeth action on it is perfect for crusts. I will definitely recommend both.

Best Ice cream scoop - EVER!

My husband & I have been married for 43 yrs - and he loves ice cream so much that he’ll eat it every day that there’s any in the freezer! So needless to say we’ve used many ice cream scoops over the years. My husband & I both agree this is THE BEST ice cream scoop we have ever used, hands down. It will cut through the hardest ice cream possible without bending whatsoever - even when you have to use a fair amount of pressure just to scoop it out! I’ve had one of these for about 8 years now - and I wouldn’t trade it for any other scoop on the market. As our ice cream tastes developed over the years into more refined, higher quality ice cream - a scoop that could hold up to the hardness of the more expensive brands became necessary. We love Hagendaaz & Graeter’s - and this scoop cuts through easily when nothing else will. Just saying....
