When my daughter was in culinary school I purchased the vegetable peeler for her. Everyone in her class "borrowed " her peeler because it was so much better than the ones in their required knife set purchases. She had me purchase a vegetable peeler for each of her classmates. Happy Classmates! I have used Rada for years and they are my go to knives. I have other expensive knives but these are my favorites. The slicer is fantastic. Best purchase ever. The sharpener is great too. These knives last forever.

Let me begin by saying this is my first less than excellent experience with a Rada product, and I’ve been buying them for years, including peelers. However, this peeler is “adequate” at best. It’s not sharp and is a chore to use. I have 2 other regular (not “Deluxe”) Rada peelers that are over 10 years old and still work fine, but the brushed aluminum handles badly oxidized from years of being washed in the dishwasher and were getting black on the food when wet (Note: Rada does recommend hand washing) so I was replacing with the black handle (not as pretty but more functional for me) and thought the “Deluxe” might be quicker since it was larger. I guess I’ll be dragging my old ones back out.
