These are great, the spoon, the spatula, the knives and the bottom whisk are all terrific, well made. At these prices, there is no reason on earth to buy the "imported" junk, no excuse. I like these better than the high dollar European stuff too, simpler. The quality of the coated stainless-steel handles, the blades, everything, is first rate. I will buy more.
I received my 2 Rada paring knives with the new composite handles! Although I love the brushed aluminum handles, it gets tiresome coating them, so the handles do not corrode after being in the dishwasher.
I don't like the metal it is made of. I thought it was stainless steel.

Hi Marlene - Thank you for your note. Yes, the Cook’s Spoon is a high nickel stainless steel. It starts flat in a coil and then through a series of steps is stamped and bent. The texture is a bead blasting to give it a consistent appearance. Hopefully with a few uses you will grow fond of the features we engineered into the design. The bull nose makes scraping the bottom of the pan when stirring easier, the long handle gives you good reach, and the handle is slightly curved to give your thumb a spot to rest and index it into your hand.
The cooks spoons (with and without holes) are the only things from Rada I would not recommend. My pots have significant scratches from one use of the spoon.

We are sorry that you have been less than happy about the performance of our Cook’s Spoon. Due to its hardened nature, it can be too rough for some pans. Our Non-Scratch Cooking Spoon collection was created to solve this issue. Made with a non-scratch, heat resistant material, they are designed to prevent scratching of pans (traditional or non-stick).
I have sworn by Rada cutlery and utensils for the last several years. This order included some items for myself as well as gifts. They are of much higher quality that the cheap imports.
My son bought me this spoon and the spoon with holes as a Christmas gift a few years ago. I use them all the time. The stub nose helps unstick bits from the pan. They are the best design for cooking, stirring, serving.
