I like the versatility of the Move speaker. I use it in a group in my bedroom when I want a full sound for television or entertaining. I use it by itself when I'm reading or keeping the music down. The battery makes it a good backup speaker in power outages and it's portable. Consider this as your next speaker.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
I won this speaker and it's okay, but if I'd paid full price for it, I'd be furious. Didn't like having to download an app to connect to the speaker, would have preferred a simple Bluetooth connection. Luckily, after connecting I was able to delete the app and still use it. The sound quality is muddy.
The sound was ok, but not amazing for the price. In store the sound was good, and I assumed at home it would only improve. In fact, it was the opposite. Tried the auto tune capability whereby Sonos adjusts according to position. The mobility of the Move was of interest, but for the sound quality, I'll go elsewhere. Setting up with an iPhone that uses VPN for work was a painful experience. Other iOS devices connected fine, but my iPhone and the Sonos setup didn't play nice.
We have a Sonos system set up around the house and wanted to extend it to our yard. Sonos Move has been the perfect solution. Great sound, we can bring it wherever we are hanging out, and love the uninterrupted music transition from inside to outside. Unexpected benefit - in our home office we have a sound bar and subwoofer... almost on a whim we added the Move to the mix, and it boosted the richness of the sound dramatically (with music - have not tested with sound for tv/movies). Love it! So it now has a semi-permanent spot in our house for daily usage, with the added benefit of being able to take it on the go, to our backyard and beyond.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Superior Sound, Wireless
We use it indoors and outdoors around the pool the sound is spectacular. I thought I loved my Boose speaker.... this one knocks it out of the park. I 100% recomend it.
