I have been using a small, portable, bluetooth speaker. It sounds good and is more durable than I really need. The Sonos Move is larger & heavier, but the sound quality is way above the one I was using. I use it on my porch which offers fair protection from the elements. The Move is weather resistant which is great. I'm not using it around a pool or carrying it with me to BBQ's and parties. The set up had a couple of hiccups, but customer service was great and we got it working in a reasonable amount of time. There does seem to be an intermittent loss of wifi which requires restarting the app. I'm not sure yet what the cause of that is. Overall, I would highly recommend this product.
I'm an engineer so proficient at adding devices to WiFi. I appreciate the sound quality of my Sonos Move. However, it won't reconnect to WiFi after battery runs down. I go thru setup 3-7 times before it reconnects (WiFi great). It requires my phone use 2.4Ghz instead of 5Ghz. It doesn't work if 2.4/5 GHz have same name. Frustrating fix it
Mostly use this unit outside, but have also used in rooms not accessible to my other music units. Easy to carry around. Easy to program and use. Great sound from a small unit.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
Purchased recently for purpose of having music to places we travel. Excellent sound and ability to play reasonably loud and still sound excellent. Set-up was a breeze. Physical buttons on back (on/off, wi-fi/Bluetooth, pairing) are handy. Standby battery life not as good as I would have expected, but not deal breaker.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound
I knew my first Sonos was going to be great. But it has gone above and beyond my expectations. I can see myself buying more and more Sonos products. I can't wait to explore Sonos further.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
