I live in an ocean front high-rise condo. I enjoy music with dinner on the balcony. But, the surf is loud, so I needed a unit that provided good sound and could easily be moved out there, but back in to avoid wind, rain, salt, etc. The Move is loud enough for my enjoyment, but is not an annoyance for the neighbors. I also have a Five for the public area and 2 Roams for other rooms. So glad I left 300+ CD's and all kinds of bulky wired devices in my old house!
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Free Control Options, Superior Sound, Wireless
I have Sonos speakers in just about every room of my home. I love that I can go from one room to another and my music is seamlessly streaming. The only place that wasn't covered was outside, until Move. It connects with wifi and Bluetooth so I can sync it with with whole system over wifi or take it with me and sync with Bluetooth. I took it over to my friends' pool last weekend and it completed the vibe. I streamed a chill pool mix on Move and the whole area was filled with sound. It sounded great, and the battery last all afternoon and evening. I definitely recommend Move and my friends even ordered one because they were so impressed with the sound quality.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Portable, Sonos Everywhere, Wireless
I was looking for an additional speaker that I could set-up out back to supplement my outdoor wired speakers. The Move is the perfect addition - great sound, very easy to set-up and add to my existing Sonos set-up, and a long-lasting battery. I use this speaker out by the pool and in the corners of the yard as needed, it's the perfect complement to my wired speakers.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
We have 2 Sonos Era 100 Speakers and we have no problem linking them together. On several occasions, I've had to go back and factory reset our Sonos Move that sits outside on our wraparound covered porch, It literally sits within 15 feet of the second Sonos Era 100 speaker and I just cannot get it to connect. Having had these difficulties, I wish that I would have purchased another Era 100 speaker and foregone buying the Move since we have an outlet right where the Move sits. Live and learn.
Pros: Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use, Unreliable
