Sonos says this is their second best sounding speaker next to the Five. I believe that is accurate. Is it audiophile grade sonic reproduction? No it's not, but try hauling your speaker towers around the house or outside to the deck. The versatility and functionality of the Move is great, wifi when available, bluetooth when it's not. Battery life is outstanding. I'd like a cutoff switch that would disable the buttons on top of the speaker, the carry handle in back is great, but my thumb invariably makes contact with one or more of the buttons on top when it's not intended. Why four stars? It's pricey at $400, but I've not found another speaker that will do what this one does as well.

I wanted to put a speaker in a new room in my house but also wanted to have a speaker when I am spending time outside. Instead of buying two speakers, this is a great solution to have a speaker for your overall Sonos system and to function as a speaker outside of your home. The charging feature is terrific and the battery-life is top of the line.

You're paying for the app design and ingenuity of group controls. I hope they never start charging for this. That would be disastrous.

Fun to share with friends

We have 5 speakers and one Move. Love them all. We just added the move for outdoor gatherings, it's easy and fun to have friends request artist, songs, etc. I'm so happy not having to deal with my husband's BIG, old, not sounding good, college era speakers with wires running all along the walls. We will hold onto to our albums but does anybody out there still want CDs? ;)

I love the Move portable speaker!

I use the Move speaker for quality music outdoors. It has great sound, and it is so easy to move - just pick up by the handle and go.
