We started building our Sonos collection about five years ago. With the addition of the Sonos move, we are experiencing even greater capabilities within our Sonos system. I honestly wasn't sure if I would think there's a lot of value in the Sonos Move, but we listen to music so much and I wanted the capability to kind of be on the go with it if need be. It's proven to be incredibly valuable with its versatility going inside outside quickly and not having to change sound quality at all. It help me avoid mounting a Sonos outside on my deck or patio. If I was just starting to build my Sonos system I would strongly consider possibly doing my core speakers as the Sonos Move if you can afford it just due to the capability and awesome sound quality along side the portability. But I would use this in a main area no problem, and I think two of these may equal the quality of the play 5 no problem. I'm not sure if Sonos has any kind of universal strapping system to mount this thing to something like a golf cart, but it would be a great if they did.

This exceeded expectations, toddler proof.

Heard that this was weatherproof, but our toddler put it to test on its first day. She picked it up and threw it into her water table. It dropped with a thud, but to my surprise was able to continue to produce beautiful music. It isn't the same white as the standard ones we have around house, but still beautiful. Would buy again

We use it in house with another Sonos product, and outdoors in our BBQ area, and on the road with our camper van.

I can easily move into an outdoor room and play it off of its built in battery without any loss of sound quality.

Battery is terrible

Even with most features turned off (trueplay, voice assistant) and connected to wifi, there's no way you get 10-11 hours of play out of this. Usually drops to 60-70% within an hour. It spends most of its time on the charging base. For the price the battery on this should last a lot longer and be able to utilize all features.

Cons: Short Battery Life, Unable to use all features
