Good clean sound; not stellar but better than average

Using our Move outside on the porch while entertaining and inside the kitchen when we're cooking.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Streams All My Music, and More, Wireless

Beach Friendly

We took this to the beach daily while on vacation and had quality music all the time. We noticed more bass compared to any other portable speaker ever owned. The Move comes in a bag that helps with transport and can keep some sand out. We got sunblock on the speaker that easily wiped off after 4 or 5 hours on the beach.

Needs a little work

It's a solid 4 Star portable speaker with the Sonos interface features. I had some difficulty setting it up, partly because of the transition between apps. All of my other speakers were running on the older renamed "SonosS1" app and I was setting up the Move on new "Sonos" app because of system prompts. The switch over became very time consuming. Alexa interface is still buggy with the Move and is less user friendly as other Alexa devices. It keeps on saying setup in Alexa which has been set/reset several times. There are also some minor issues with switching between WiFi and Bluetooth. Despite these minor issues it works very well as a portable speaker. I have gotten over 6 hours at moderate volume. I have not tested it for battery life at low volume. The Move's mid range is excellent with clear voice. It doesn't seem to have the high-range of the Sonos One and about the same as the old model Play:1 but with better sound dispersion. Move like most small speakers certainly doesn't carry much bass.

A wireless/Bluetooth speaker that sounds great!

I have searched for a portable smart speaker for years and finally found one I love! It's ability to tie in with my existing Sonos system is a bonus. I have tried (and returned) a few different models from other manufacturers due to their clumsiness and poor sound quality. I'm happy to say that-although bigger-the Sonos Move is the first portable smart speaker worth owning.
