It's Just ok for the price.

The nice thing about the move is that it has the ability to go Bluetooth. Cons is that it have zero bass! Sound quality is only slightly better That my SL ones. After 50-60% the bass totAlly disappears. Also , it keeps going offline for no reason. Very annoying.
Pros: Streams All My Music, and More, Wireless
Cons: Difficult Setup, Poor Sound Quality, Unreliable

Incredible product. The Move is so versatile. We've brought it on trips, moved it into the dining room for dinner parties, used it outside while shooting hoops, and just listened in our room. The sound is amazing.

The best Sonos piece to date!

I own numerous Sonos pieces, of all different types, from the Play1, 3, 5, Beam, etc so that every room in my house is covered by Sonos sound, as well as my TV, and linked into stereo/surround mode where I can. This is Sonos' best product to date. Superb sound as always, with the freedom to just pick it up, and walk to another room, garage or outside within WiFi range, but also becomes a Bluetooth speaker the second you move out of range. It would be the perfect speaker for someone who enjoys sitting in the backyard, has a pool, garage, etc., or for someone who doesn't have the ability to get numerous Sonos speakers, as you can bring it to wherever you are in your home. Great battery life and super quick re-charge, and you can see remaining battery levels through your app. Not hard to re-charge, just set it on the base. A real winner!

Routine compatibility

The entire sonos system did not come together as one system until I got the MOVE (1st flaw). Next. I could not use the entire system until I figured out the keywords are "alexa play music on sonos everywhere" (2nd flaw, no where does SONOS offer the key words to get that going). Third. The battery loses life even when it is km the charger. This device must be manually turned on and off. Lastly, routines are not responsive. For instance, I say "alexa, start the shower"... the device responds with "ok, start the shower is ready" but the shower never starts. This seems like a prototype

Cons: Not fully functional with Smarthome, Unreliable

I would buy this product again and again

I love Sonos and i am expanding its use. I think it is very reliable, subject to availability of wifi. I have multiple rooms with different wifi networks and it is not transparent from the app to which network each component is connecting to. It would be great to add some diagnostic screen to the app. Thanks!

Move-ing in the right direction

I bought the move to be able to use in two different home locations. We have a small place in the city and cabin a few hours away we spend most weekends. I wanted to be able to have a portable speaker that stayed connected to our system and move it where ever it was needed (typically one of the outdoor areas or porches) without having to be hardwired or be kept outside year round. Pros - the sound is better than I hoped for. Even just the one speaker sounds great and fills our outdoor spaces. Last weekend we set up an outdoor projector and played a movie from my Iphone - we ran the sound through the bluetooth option on the Move and it worked fantastic and filled the air for 6 people around the campfire watching the movie. Cons - setup - Right out of the box, the Move was not fully functional. I was able to connect to my existing SONOS and play music right away but I could not get it to switch over to Bluetooth or even get the button to turn blue. After an hour of frustration, I decided to see if the software was up to date via the SONOS app and apparently it wasn't. Once I updated, everything worked seamlessly and I was a happy camper. I wish SONOS would have included updating instruction in order to have your product ready to go as expected. The speaker is a bit heavier but I am ok with that as I am moving it around and want some weight to it to ensure it doesn't fall or get knocked over depending on where it is. Also, a better carrying case would be nice. All in all, I love it though and would definitely consider another.
