My only concern is why Sonos did not provide Bluetooth stereo pairing?? is that technology so difficult that Bose can give in its Revolve+ and Sonos cannot? This is a deal breaker for me and so Move is not for me. I will continue with my 2 Bose Revolve+. Another plus with Bose Revolve+ is: It also allows me to connect my Yamaha mixer with cable and so even on the lake front I can use my music system to do my karaoke.... I have tried both and the sound on both is equally impressive. I was more inclined to have Move because my whole home is connected with Sonos products... but now I will wait till Sonos brings Bluetooth pairing to Move and an IP6 or 7 rating. With Move, I want to have freedom to take it to mountains and dance to the tunes on the river bank without being worried about rain..... After all, the price point is about $500 CND / piece. Is it too much to ask for at this price point??? All these technologies are not 'new'... other competitors are giving this since years..... IP 6 and 7 are so industry standard today that even a small speaker made by Oontz or Anker have it.... So Sonos developers need a serious thinking if they want MOVE to be "the Bluetooth speaker" in their line up of awesome products like ARC. I am so much sold on ARC.... it has changed my perspective of HT Bar.... love it from every angle as much as I love my BEAM and One and One SL and Amp.... power packed.... also I have kept Play 3s.... they are irreplaceable.... I am hoping to see Sonos bring them back with new technologies.... They make my surrounds sound so great that I am in love with those..... :) Readers are advised to use their discretion while making decision.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
I use the move in multiple rooms. I carry it all over. It is amazing in the kitchen and holds it own in the living room. Outside it is great for parties. I love my move. I owned it for 3 days and my friend bought one immediately.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Free Control Options, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
Great product. Sound really does expand to fit the room or outdoor space!! It sounds great, better than the Sonos 1 that I have 3 of!! Only complaint is sometimes Sonos does not pick up the Move requiring I reboot the app (shut it off and restart- sometimes several times). I don't know why this happens and is mostly annoying but hopefully Sonos will look into it and fix it.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
I love this product. I have taken it Camping, used it outside when Wifi isn't near, and taken it to houses/events. Sound is great for small or big rooms, outdoors and is battery life last great. Its easy to have with you on the go. Only issue I had (more of a learning curve) is switching from Bluetooth to Wifi. At first, I had issues getting it going to Bluetooth (I just wasn't holding down the button long enough for it to switch) but once you get used to it, it's all clear sailing. I would wish it senses it's back within my Wifi range and switch back to Wifi when I put it back in its base. There have been a couple times I bring it home and can't see it in the Sonos App because it's on Bluetooth and not on Wifi.
Pros: Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
I use it primarily to stream radio and podcasts rather than using the earbuds for my phone. For those uses, the sound quality is very good. As for music, think of it as a standard car audio system: a welcome convenience, but not up to the task of serious music listening. That said, a couple of them 'round the pool on a hot summer night might be just the ticket for some.
Pros: Portability, Superior Sound
Cons: Battery life not as advertised., Poor documentation.
Portability, sound quality, and bluetooth option are what led me to buy it. It meets those criteria with flying colors. That said, as others have noted its wireless performance is terrible. It keeps dropping my network connection, even when mere feet away from my router--at least that's what the Sonos app tells me. Whether it's the Move or the app that's losing connection I don't know exactly, but in any case this problem is unacceptable in a wireless speaker at this price. I mostly end up using bluetooth and streaming from my phone, which defeats the main reason for buying a wireless speaker. My rating splits the difference, and I'll keep the Move for its use apart from my network, but I certainly won't buy another one.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound
I have 13 Sonos products in my house and have never had an issue setting any of them up. The Move will not connect. Three days of trying and nothing. But Sonos will get back to me in 7-10 days. What a joke.... going to be returning this item.
Being a prize IOU's Bose supporter, I now support the SONoS product, I just have some difficulty with never being able to make contact with someone to discuss technical issues which seem to be somewhat rampant in my case As an example, last week signed up for "new" digital sound system week later, yet to hear from anybody no update as in cat indicated in "the agreement". For a five minute indication of time for "customer service", waited 18 min. So, Customer Service, not so much. Still a great product, just needs some upgrades in service......Really!!
