Battery life is good. Wonderful job cleaning and I do wish the green light was on all the vacuum heads it is a small feature but nice to see smaller dust particles. Not heavy. But it is super important to use the proper tool for the job (i.e. soft head for hard floors) to ensure the best cleaning and to not damage the vacuum. I will say this is perfect for hard surfaces and basic carpets. If you need extreme cleaning I would go with the Animal 3 or try the new V16 (its supposed to be even stronger than the animal 3).
Even on high pile, eco suction, its too strong for vacuuming the rugs I have. 1 rug is low pile, the other is very very thin. The vacuum stops and says there's an obstruction. My other dyson was a tank. I'm so sad it died, because this over achieving under producing hunk of suction was a giant waste of money. Hardwood looks great. A broom could do that though.
I owned the V12 for about two years before it unexpectedly stopped working. After a lot of back and forth, it was replaced under warranty with a V15, which gave me some hope. Sadly, the V15 didn’t even last six months. At this point, I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated because this has turned into a very poor investment. I genuinely hope the company is willing to fix this issue instead of asking me to buy a new vacuum. The only reason I keep using it is because it’s the only option I have that works well on my staircases, unlike my Deebot robot vacuum.
Have had my V15 for a few weeks now and LOVE it. The suction is amazing with a house with four long-haired pets (two Golden Retrievers and two long-haired cats). Was sceptical with a cordless but have to say this is absolutely the best. The ease of a cordless is fantastic and does a better job than any vacuum I’ve ever had. Bravo Dyson.
