[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start with, I'm someone who games casually (Minecraft, Sims, Stardew maybe) and draws digitally. While I have a Wacom Intuous tablet that plugs into laptops/computers, I was of the mind to finally try out a 2-in-1 because the portable tablet I have now has been struggling a bit, and having my tablet and laptop in the same unit seemed like a great idea.
After a lot of thought and review I chose the Lenovo IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 (16" Intel) Laptop because the brand has long since done right by me and it seemed that their 2-in-1 was built with creativity in mind.
After a speedy delivery, I immediately tried out the tablet function. Right out the gate I have to say how anxiety-inducing it is to fold your laptop in half and try drawing on it while feeling the keys press and click against the surface you've set it on. While the response time between the touch screen and included pen (which has about 4000+ levels of pressure) is great, and the large screen is so nice, I have to say the actual build does make it hard to relax and draw. In the time I had the laptop the hinge wasn't a problem however it did linger as a worry in my head about how, with consistent use of the laptop in tablet mode, that hinge might wear down and become a problem.
Using the laptop as one was a great experience. The IdeaPad 5i is quick, reliable, and has a pretty solid battery life if you aren't running heavy programs or streaming in super hi-def. If you're someone who already has and likes 2-in-1 laptops, this is a STEAL for the price you can get it at during sales.
For me, personally, I ended up returning the IdeaPad 5i because I ultimately didn't use the tablet function nearly as much as I thought I would. It also turns out that having a touch-screen laptop is a bit of a pain when your pet keeps trying to distract you by rubbing their face on said screen. I'm definitely planning to get a Lenovo Laptop to replace the IdeaPad since I need one on the whole, but for me, the 2-in-1 function just didn't resonate with me the way I thought it would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall a very nice laptop, very good performance, and a v. good battery. The only thing is the screen resolution is a bit dull. So if you are looking for vibrant colors and resolution then this may not be the best for you. To me it’s a not a big problem.
