Printer rejects the cartridge

There's not a single word in the product description here to tell you that if you try to put this cartridge into an m479fdw printer with current firmware, the printer will block the cartridge.
In other words, when this page claims that this cartridge is compatible with this printer, it lies.
There's a sticker on the bag the cartridge comes in telling you to disable automatic firmware updates, which is a non-starter; updates are needed for security fixes. And in any case by the time you see the sticker on the bag you've already bought the thing, eh?

i buy this for my printer try to save money surprise a soon install new toner printer says low level on toner this supposed come full level

This was one of four cartridges I ordered and two have not yet arrived. I plan to change out all four units at the same time so I have not tried the yellow.I am still waiting for magenta and cyan.

Worked perfectly with my Laserjet Pro MFP M479. While the printer gave me a warning that quality may not be guaranteed when using non-HP toner cartridges the output so far has been great and I'm very happy I was able to save more than $450+ for all 4 cartages.

I should have listened to the other reviews saying the HP printer would reject this cartirdge. ** NOT COMPATIBLE!!! ** Every printer override setting still will not allow printing even black and white. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!

There is a hole in the bar that spreads the toner so I have a line of blue dots going up all my pages. It also doesn't seem to print well. I won't be ordering manufactured again!!!
