Seems overpriced. The 2 - 2 AH/amp hour batteries

Seems overpriced. The 2 - 2 AH/amp hour batteries included are garbage. They do not last long enough to be worth using. If they included decent batteries in the kit, I would buy at least one more.

I read some reviews and agree about this adapter being hard to remove. I have a lot of DeWalt tools-new 20v and older 18v. The adaptor is a great idea especially since I am trying to standardize and simplify tools and inventory. I give DeWalt 5 stars for the idea of giving us options on the older tools. Im sure its hard to apply new technology on already built/designed tools. I have big hands and do find the adaptor hard to remove. Yes when in a hurry its frustrating having to remove the battery and trying to pinch the two black buttons in to relase-especially when working outdoors on projects with cold to numb fingers. However, I just purchased a few more adaptors. I dont use the batteries shown as they look small and lifeless. I have a lot of 20v tools and use the larger 20v. In short great option and love it-may not be the greatest for everyone-but great benefit for others. Simply put-thanks for making durable tools.

Great tool that lets you use on older 18V Tools

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this so I could use my new 20V batteries on my old 18V tools. Works great. The only issue is that sometimes its difficult to take out the adapter of the 18V tool.

Misleading packaging

Was using in our DeWalt drill DC 759 till drill started to smoke. Took it off and put in old battery and it worked fine. Doing research and found on back of package says Do not use with premium DeWALT batteries in DC970 or DC759. (Be nice if it said DC759 18V 1/2" (13MM) CORDLESS COMPACT DRILL/DRIVER)
Just looked up the DC759 and found DCA2203C listed, but under the battery it states not to use it with this drill. If it comes up when looking for drill to replace battery, you would assume it goes with the drill. Now to see what other tools I have that will will not work with.

Worth it.

Ive had this product for a year, It does what it is supposed to do, give a new life to my 18v stuff. BUT it is an adapter from one platform to another. An adapter by definition (in my mind) will have limitations. The push tabs require intense strength to disengage the adapter off of the 18v tools. The 20v batteries go dead over night if left on the tools. BUT what would be junk is now usable. My 18v stuff stays in the shop and the 20v goes with me in the service truck, its a good arrangement warts and all!
