The inner pan that holds the rice spins when scooping rice. My older model, which can now not be shipped to Colorado, had a design that did not suffer from this annoying problem.

bought this because it's pfas free, but the quality is significantly worse than the standard micom while being priced higher. the entire unit feels more cheaply made. it works as a rice cooker but i'm going to look into just getting a new bowl for my old one instead. really disappointed. if you ever need to cook under 2-3 cups it will dry out a good portion of it because of the flat bowl bottom, though it's probably fine for higher volumes.
if its your first zojirushi rice cooker you might not notice these things. it's solid as a rice cooker (it cooks rice) but lacking compared to cheaper zojirushi rice cookers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like this product, I will say rice sticks more to this than the other Teflon versions. But still pretty nonstick.
I'm glad it doesn't have any forever chemicals.
It works very well. I wish it had GABA function. Maybe a version with pressure cooking too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Just a quick reminder, the rice cooker parts are not dishwasher-safe and should only be hand-washed to ensure they last as long as possible.
