Haven't cooked in it yet, just cleaned and plugged it in to see if it worked.

I think it's very nice, but the unit gets hot on the outside before the crocks get hot.

My husband and I bought this thinking we would only use occasionally but we use just about every week. It’s great for all of our dishes and just warning soups and sides up also.
