Well-made, all-in-one espresso machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned a few espresso machines over the years, but I was always frustrated by the daily process of packing the grounds, emptying the grounds, cleaning the filter, filling the water, etc. Plus, I still had to keep out my coffee maker for brewing regular coffee. The Philips 2200 espresso machine solves pretty much all of these issues! With the push of a button (or a few buttons), your coffee is ground fresh, brewed and grounds emptied. If you want to make an espresso shot (or two), it's the same process. Push a button and you're done!
It's really easy to empty the used grounds and fill the water container because they are all front facing so you never have to turn the machine around or pull it out from under the counter. I love that!
The buttons and sequence of pushing buttons can take a bit of getting used to and is not really all that intuitive -- especially if you want to switch from fresh ground coffee beans to using your own ground coffee. But it's not super complicated either. You just have to read the instruction book or watch some of the Philips videos.
Overall, I'm very impressed and happy with this espresso/coffee maker.

Perfect cup every time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this expresso coffee maker so I can have a cup of coffee without creating trash from those kcup pod things. I'm kinda environmental.
We used to make big pots on the weekend and I'd drink slowly over the week.. fresh coffee tastes so much better.
This machine can make one shots or 2 at the same time. It also can make 1 or 2 (small) "cups" of coffee. See image it isn't exactly 1 cup but it tastes great.
The steamer works great and makes bubbles and heat for froth, reheating tea/coffee, etc.
The on button does need a good bit of force but it does turn on. It auto shuts off after like 15 minutes. It makes hot water too. And -- it grinds beans!!! Perfect for lazy sundays and busy weekdays

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Philips ep220 is great for beverages like espresso and coffee and it has 12 grinder strength settings while 3 temperature settings.We can easily select the coffee using the touch screen technology.It is capable of producing 20000 cups of finest ground coffee and 5000 cups without descaling.Its parts are dishwasher safe and use aqua clean removable brew group.
Operation and Experience
This simple machine just requires me to turn it on, hit the buttons to make my selections, and hit the start button. Now I need to just pour out my espresso and I turn it off and I’m done. It does not require any immediate clean up.
I found it extremely versatile for the variety of drinks it's capable of making and I really like the built in grinder, it saves me a lot of counter space.
Now I produce High quality Coffee in the comfort of my kitchen and this looks so gorgeous sitting on my counter top.I love Philips for great design and quality products.
Before you start please do watch YouTube videos to learn the operation and how to produce various strength drinks.Do read Manual twice but if you are someone like me just do not jump straight to your machine if you haven't handled similar touch sensitive Series before.
Touch sensitive technology needs understanding and is more sensitive but eventually when you learn to do things properly it provides the convenience you looking for.

It's such a vital component for any espresso drinker. With ceramic grinders and AquaClean filtration technology, this machine maximizes espresso quality and longevity of perfect tasting coffee with minimal work. As a cappuccino lover as well, I find this machine to be a remarkable benefit to my daily routine. My house has a delicious aroma and people who enter are immediately greeted with a beverage to match it. It's quick, easy, and best of all, quality producing.

Great coffee every morning

I got this machine last week and I’m in love with my morning cappuccino. It took 5-7 tries to make the perfect coffee and learn which I like the most but now it’s ready whenever I need a cup . The setting in Stand by can be changed up to I believe 180 minutes I have mine set to 30 minutes for now after it shuts off and rinse it out . I tried latte as well and was very happy with the results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coffee bowl too small, and the Coffee dont fall right. We have to push it often. Before we had à seaco incanto and was a lot better.

This machine allows you to personalize the size of your drink, by selecting the drink quantity option (low, medium, high).
If the coffee is not flowing normally, this may be due to some air trapped inside. To solve this, please switch off your machine, empty the water tank and remove the water filter. Fill the water tank again and place it back in position. Switch the machine on again, and let it heat up. Select hot water and dispense 2-3 cups of hot water.
Please also consider cleaning the dispensing spout, as this may be clogged. You can clean this by using a pipe cleaner or a needle to get rid of the dirt.

Simple, makes good coffee.

This coffeemaker is made by a strong manufacturer in the production of small household appliances. Once the controls are mastered (not at all difficult), it makes good coffee, latte and espresso as well or better than other machines at much more expensive prices. In my opinion, it is equal to or better than the Jury machine it replaced. The only reason I didn't award five stars is that it shuts itself off after only about 20 25 minutes idle.
