I have bought 4 of these over the last 15 years, for several rooms in the house. The fact that Logitech still makes this product says all it all. I have never owned better computer speakers. I have spoken.
Generally this speaker system is good except for connectivity (no sound periodically) I noticed that there is a issue with the headphone jack which if you don't insert a stereo headphone cable from time to time sound will not be directed to the speaker it's probably the micro switch within the jack because after you plug a headphone jack a couple of time the sound switches over to the speakers again and the unit is back to being fully functional after plugging it in then pulling the stereo jack out of the unit
This is a great set that's been around for near 13 years at the time of my purchase. Its been on my list since release back in 2011. Purchase date: 07/17/2025. I 100% recommend this purchase. My one and only issue I have with this set: front speakers need more mid bass. They are a bit to high pitched without proper equalization of hrz on 3rd party software. Aka - Dolby Access. Great software btw, and a good purchase. But as for the front speakers, I recommend replacing them with the micca MB42for front left and right and center channels. (Budget upgrade) You can get the crossover upgrade (MB42X) cheapest on their website. Saving $50-$75 depending on your location of purchase. But for a Budget upgrade, I 100% recommend this option! At the time of writing this, upgrade costs: 100+ tax for speakers $35+ tax on the crossover upgrade. Complete set on Amazon is: $312.44 before tax.
Love the logitech z906 really good system pricey though for logitech should only be 400 bucks but I love the sound when I watch movies I can control each speaker to the movie
Just hook it up to my TV set to replace my huge Home theater and let me tell you something about these Logitech system it's the best it's small and powerful and it sound awesome it's a must to get if you want to go small.
I love this speaker system. Unless you are a sound enthusiast, this is definitely enough for the average size entertainment system and will shake the glassware in your cupboards. I use it on a 75" Sony bravia with Apple TV (not a computer setup). My only complaint is that its kind of like those newer cars that turn off when idle. If theres nothing playing on the tv, the unit is still on but there is zero wattage going through the speakers, no white noise etc. It then automatically turns on when audio is played, but theres a half second delay. SO, when you are scrolling through neflix, its very annoying because the speaker is constantly turning off and on each time you scroll resulting in a 'pop' sound every time you scroll. Not a huge deal, but you'll definitely notice it. Otherwise it's a fantastic setup.
