Ok for the cost

If you are looking to cover area 9 x 9, then this pergola is not for you. You should be buying at least 10 x 10 because the measurement is not calculated from pillar to pillar, it is calculated from each corner to corner which includes extensions at the top which are used for the decoration purpose only plus, it doesn't provide the full shade. The cover shade is very much transparent. It doesn't provide you privacy from the top and the light fully comes through, basically, it's not good for sunny area.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
