Initially bought a cantilever umbrella, that almost blew away from a small breeze, even with 200lbs of sand on the base. Returned and purchased this instead and it's such an upgrade. Built it with the husband in a couple hours - would have gone faster with the suggested 4-5ppl.

We bought this pergola for some shade in the back corner of my yard in Chicago! We also bought it to keep the alley light from hitting us while we were enjoying our little couch area and it’s worked out really well we have since added lights and yeah you know it came a little dinged up but I expect that from this type of furniture. You definitely need a couple people adults to put it together at one point but it goes together pretty well we had one corner that we couldn’t quite screw but it feels structurally sound.

With some skill, you can put this together with 2 people... directions recommended 5. Haven't put the canopy on yet till we can make a bracket to secure the frame to the house, but im so happy with this purchase.

Well built and looks terrific. My only suggestion would be to have some sort of detachment for very windy days. There is no quick way to take off the canopy and the tarp is under heavy tension
