I was so excited for how light weight and easy to maneuver this vacuum was, however it does not do well with pet hair at all. I could not tell you how fast the canister fills up before you have to empty it because it clogged literally every 30 seconds. I would go and vacuum my whole living room and move onto the hallways before I realized it was clogged. Not knowing when it got clogged I would have to do the living room all over again. I started constantly checking if it was clogged and it would be almost instantly. I couldn't get anything done. It would clog at the base, it would clog at the entrance to the dirt canister. I would have to stick straws down the tubes to unclog it every couple minutes if I wanted to vacuum (which I do twice a week) and it was just a clump of pet fur every time. Very strongly do not recommend if you have a kind of animals.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ok I'm being honest as I can i brought it home charged it and that where everything went wrong I don't understand why I have to remove the battery to charge it. It didn't even provide a charge dock makes no sense but anyway I charged it vacuumed a bit and when I was ready to empty i couldn't get everything out I was very confused I had to remove the whole trash container then realized that it had the filter right there easily visible underneath the metal strainer thing and dust was already in the filter I was like no cleaned it up and put it all back in the box and returned it I only purchased because it was around the same price point of the Tineco which I already had one but the actual part the vacuum broke and couldn't swivel it around anymore looked up the part and it was expensive to replace so yea after returning it I purchased another Tineco which battery doesn't have to be removed to charge vacuum comes with a dock filter is easily removed before any contact with the motor all located on the bottom without removing the trash container also washable and reusable because it's a cloth material long story short you get very little for what you pay for I'm not using a power hand tool like a drill I'm using a portable cordless vacuum machine the port should be on the machine to charge it I shouldn't have to remove the battery it's a waste of time please take this design and fix it Otherwise the product works it's just the small things like having no dock having to remove the battery to charge unable to easily remove all trash without removing the container from housing

I vacuum in the AM so it's still dark and this vac has a headlight that illuminates all the debris so I don't miss a thing. It goes over carpet, tile, gym flooring, hardwood floor and even some higher pile carpet. The only drawback is cleaning the filter catch but it's lightweight and cordless features make it worth it. The battery lasts 2 full vacuums of my downstairs so 2 days worth then needs charging. Battery clips in like a drill battery and the attachments are pretty cool.
