Excellent suction, handling is good not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Vacuum power is great out of the box. We'll see how well the battery holds up over time. We have found the handling/maneuvering to be a bit stiff compares to our previous vacuum

Definitely would not buy another bissell at all

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only had it for three days and the battery does not hold a charge. After the third day I tried to use it again and now the battery is not charging at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Powerlifter Turbo Cordless Stick Vacuum is lightweight and has a strong suction for my townhouse. It worked great on my hardwood floor and area rugs. I liked the attached tools for hand vacuuming for my car. Great vacuum!

Doesn't stay on reliably

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a new replacement vacuum for my old corded one and was so excited that this one was cordless, but it just doesn't work as expected. I was having trouble with it automatically shutting off while in use, and it seemed like I finally got it working on my wood floors but then when I took it to my rug it did the auto shutoff again? A bit frustrating :(
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always believed in "you get what you pay for", but with this current economy (EVERYTHING is just SO expensive now!) I've been rethinking my mantra- and Bissell has helped reinforce my belief that you CAN find great products at a great price! I've got a toddler, a teenager, a dog and a cat- so I want the job done quickly, and I want it done right. The Bissell Powerlifter Turbo is a game changer. It's quiet, has amazing suction, and does the job quickly and efficiently. It has all of the attachments for my furniture and tight spaces. The battery life is long and best of all, my teenager loves to use it! :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought I was vacuuming before. I was not. The canister picked up so much dust! I used it on bare hardwood floor was well as carpeted stairs and low pile rugs. What a game changed. Vacuuming stairs has been a nightmare. I'd lug my corded cleaner up each step and attempt to clean. Or, I'd try to use a hand vac. This was 10 times easier. The power lifter is so light that now I don't mind doing the steps and clean them every few days instead of my dreaded weekly appointment. The way it can be used as a multi tool hand vac is just icing on the cake!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't sure what to expect from a Bissel vacuum since these days they don't seem top of the line with other brands like Shark and Dyson out there. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to set up. It had very few pieces which made cleaning and assembling very easy. I also loved the light on it. My current vacuum does not have a light and I didn't realize what I was missing. It did an amazing job on my rugs and I liked the feature where it automatically turns off if it starts sucking up the rug too much. The trigger to turn it on and off is also really convenient. Another big plus was how slim the vacuum was. For the first time in years I've been able to get a vacuum under my bed to suck up all that dust. I loved how the different attachments worked as well. It was also very convenient and lightweight to use. My only critique would be that the battery life is short and it takes a long time to charge. I fully charged the battery (let it go overnight) and vacuumed my small 1000 sq ft apartment and it lasted, but I went back the next day and the battery was dead. Additionally, it was kind of a pain to have to remember to remove the battery and charge it vs being able to put it in a dock. However, I did like that there was the option to remove the battery because I do not have a plug in the closets and have no idea where I would place a dock. My last critique is that it would be nice if there was an easier way to stand the vacuum up. It always seems to be falling over to one side when I prop it up against the wall. I did see in the manual that Bissell sells wall units that you can attach to, so that probably would solve this problem for storage, but for simply resting the vacuum while it is out, it is hard to do. Overall, I'm really impressed and look forward to using this vacuum going forward. My mother even said that is is very comparable to her Dyson that she spent a fortune on.
