I bought this lunch warmer for work, it does as stated, warms food just right. However, the inner lid that's supposed to keep food from spilling during transport Doesn't fit. So have to transport food in another container and put in pot once I'm at work. Otherwise no complaints.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wish I could give more to this crock-pot but unfortunately I don’t think this would be fare. My husband got one for me a few months ago, and I just love it. Some birthdays came around at my office, and my friends decided that they wanted the same thing for their birthday, and my husband also decided to get one once I started to say how awesome it was to be able to eat fresh hot food not microwaved. So basically, I got a total of 6 crock-pots lunch: 2 for my house, and another 4 as gifts. To the utility, I need to give 5 stars plus! Is awesome how food comes out of it hot, and lets not even talk about soups in cold days, it’s a blessing! It’s portable, and fits almost everywhere (My husband carry his one inside of his lunch box, and I keep mine inside of a drawer at my office, so is small enough to keep it somewhere out of your sight, but big enough to hold food enough for an adult feel satisfied). The down side is some of the materials they use. I read two times the instructions, and in both manuals, don’t say to take the lid of before turning it on. So, our food takes an average of 1 hour to be hot, and that’s the amount of time we keep them on, but the lids from the stainless steel pots are shrinking and bending after only 2 or 3 uses. Unfortunately now is not safe to send soups with my husband for lunch, or anything that has liquid, because the lido won’t close. We requested a new pot, and they kindly sent another one, free of charges, but even taking the lid before heating, the warmness of the crock-pot after using it is enough to shrink and bend them, making useless the stainless steel pot to carry liquids or soups. I love the idea of eating warm food every day, but we need to retain ourselves in eating solid food (rice, meats and steam vegetables) because even beans are nor thick enough for the lid and at the end you have food everywhere. I am still looking for something safer and maybe get something else to keep our food warm during lunch break. Too bad isn’t this one. Note: The same problem happened with all the 6 of them.

I work 11p-7a and this little lunch warmer is the best! Piping hot lunches that are soooo good! Left offers from dinner, soup, chili I've heated up hot dogs and beans. Just took my hot dog roll wrapped separately. From lasagna too hot apple crisp! skies the limit! One of my best little investments.
This little item is the best Teacher Gift since the apple. Every teacher in the nation has a precious short lunch break, not to be squandered waiting for a microwave. He or she will love that lunch is ready the instant he or she is, that it has heated evenly, and tastes better than from a microwave. Get one for yourself and for every teacher you know.
I purchased 1 and my husband does construction and he took this one and LOVES it. Plug it in when you get to work and ready to eat by lunch. I went back and ordered 7 more for gifts
