Brick Shop Masters of the Universe Clash as Snake

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mattel Brick Shop Masters of the Universe Clash at Snake Mountain set is a really nice and cool set! So pretty and vibrant in person while also being dark in color. Well put together! The mini figurines are constructed well and are also sturdy. Nice and colorful. There is a lot of detail on them for their small size. There is also A LOT of pieces in this set! 634 to be exact. This is a set that you plan a day for or break it up between a few days. My daughter liked to do it in sections because it can become time consuming. My daughter also got overwhelmed and felt defeated a few times while working on this set. At times, she couldn’t get a few of the pieces to fit properly. So she needed some adult assistance. She was also having issues trying to locate the correct piece a few times because some pieces are pretty small. She took a small break then got back to it a few times. You can really see the progress of this brick set come along as each pack is completed. Really nice! It’s pretty cool to watch your child lock on and focus on completing the task and the progress they’ve worked so hard for. They get so happy with each win/completion. A great boost of confidence. Especially when deciding to not give up! My daughter lost a couple of the smaller pieces due to not keeping track of them. As she kept building, you couldn’t even tell that anything was missing!! That’s something that I can appreciate as a parent. I recommend this brick set for any child and or adult that enjoys building things and very intricately. My daughter really enjoyed building this set and I think your child will too.

Well made solid pieces. They don't feel flimsy and they connect well. The instruction booklet has clear and easy to follow directions. The character pieces are interactive and include accessories for play.

Cons
Many of the pieces are extremely difficult to separate once connected (this is a pro if you don't want them separated!) The tinier pieces are VERY tiny making them easy to lose. The character pieces have VERY little details. The faces are blank and there are no distinguishing details.

Overall, the set is very nice and the kids had a great time putting it together. Definitely would recommend to other brick builders!

Worth the time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is super cool and detailed. It is over 600 parts and states it’s for ages 13 and older. I completely agree with that because it is detailed and time consuming to complete. But it’s also very fun and so nice when complete. It comes with mini figures from the series so you can play with it and use the figures. If you are looking for a fun building project and like Masters of the Universe, this set is for you!

Fun set, but takes some patience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 9-year-old was super excited to build this Clash at Snake Mountain set, mostly because of the 12 tiny NanoWorld figures included (he loved He-Man and Skeletor!). The figures snap onto the building bricks perfectly, which makes displaying them awesome. It took him quite a bit longer to assemble than typical building sets, and it was a little challenging at times, but the large included instruction manual really helped him work through it step-by-step. It's a great choice for any Masters of the Universe fan!

Brick set full of adventure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design of this playset is a 5 out of 5! It is full of adventure, toughness, and coolness. My teen and pre-teen love putting together these brick type sets and this one definitely held their attention. They did struggle getting some of the pieces to stay together, specifically in bags 8 and 9 which put together the snake portion. That’s the only reason I deducted a star. The minifigures are definitely mini but fit nicely inside the set to give it extra character (both literally and figuratively). I especially like “old school” throwback facts in the instruction guide. That was a nice touch for parents from the 80’s to reminisce!

A Fun Challenge for Young Builders

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was excited to build it and stayed engaged from start to finish without needing any help. The instructions were clear, and the build was challenging enough to keep him interested without becoming frustrating.
He was really proud of the finished model and immediately wanted to display it in his room. I also appreciated that it gave him a screen-free activity that encouraged focus, patience, and problem-solving.
Overall, this is a well-designed building set that's perfect for kids who enjoy creative, hands-on projects. I'd definitely recommend it for tweens who love reptiles, building sets, or collecting cool display pieces.
