Great monitor

I brought it for my home office since the WFH is extended to next year. This monitor is very easy to set up and stands sturdy, the quality of picture and audio are both very good. I am definitely satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it.

I bought this as a second screen to my laptop. I didn't realize but some people are even using this as a portable monitor for their Nintendo Switch! I can't wait to try that out. I am pleased with how easy this sets up for my monitor. It even comes with extra metal discs to attach to other surfaces.Great value and great usability.

Video resolution/quality - better than expected

Love having dual screens on my laptop. I work with two monitors at work and on my desktop and always feel out of synch when I use my laptop. This dual screen ends those frustrations. It does not seem to draw my battery life, it comes to life quickly and easily and behaves just like a second monitor.I was a little worried about the video resolution, if it sounds too good to be true and all of that... but no need to worry. I think it looks great, and aside from being a tad smaller than my laptop monitor, it looks the same. Well worth the money spent, I am getting a ton of use out of mine.

Needs the driver installed!

I wanted to come back and update my review! I was definitely frustrated that it wasn’t truly a “Plug And Play” so for that, I am knocking off a couple of stars. After finally getting in-touch with my companies IT department to get the drivers installed (can’t install anything on the company’s computer without administrator password, which is why I wanted something that was truly a “plug And Play”), the screen popped right on. I haven’t had any trouble with the magnets not sticking, or the monitor not staying up - they do note in the instructions that the monitor should sit on the table, not floating above the table, I think that’s where most negative reviews come from. Other then having to download the driver, I have loved the monitor so far! Will update again if anything happens.

Great Concept but Not Quite �Right�

Pros:1. Nice packaging.2. Fast shipping.Cons:1. MacBook Pro (2017,15.6� screen) does not support use without a kick stand. Pulls the screen monitor backwards (it made me nervous it would damage my hinges)2. When the Trio Max is connected my MacBook runs REALLY hot; even when on a desk/lap desk.3. The Trio Max attaches to the front of your laptop with adhesive magnets that are permanently stuck to the front of your laptop/laptop case.4. The Trio Max screen quality is significantly worse than the MacBook Pro because: A) the screen used in Macs have the best tech; B) the Trio Max screen is smaller than my MacBook screen so the text/screen appears much smaller during use (the text is also very blurry). There are four resolution options but none of them improved clarity or minimized eye strain.5. The easy-slide function is not smooth It takes effort to slide the monitor out (and it squeaks)6. It�s BULKY. It makes my 2017 MacBook Pro (15.6� screen) at least three times thicker and heavier with the Trio Max attached.7. There are 4 different sets of set-up instructions. One on the lid of the box and three inserts. This made installation confusing.8. To use this monitor on a Mac you have to: A) download an application not authorized/available by Apple; B) delete MacBook driver and replace it with a new driver; C) change your privacy setting to allow 24/7 screen recording.

Fell a bit short of what I expected

The design is OK however:1.) It attaches to the main screen with a magnet which is poorly designed not to mention the fact that magnets and hard-rives DO NOT go together.... You can accidently wipe out or corrupt your hard drive2.) Unless it's resting on a table, the extra screen is flimsy and doesn't attach perfectly.I still use it because I love multiple screens but the flimsy attaching capability should be redesigned.

I love this product. It has helped me significantly with being more efficient and also makes it easy when on a zoom call and I don't want the 3rd party to see the information I am looking at - added privacy. Great ease to use and install.
