I ordered a Trio when it was on Kickstarter. It worked for about 6 months than started to flicker a lot and now it is a black screen that just says "please wait". This has been stuck in my closet for about a year because it does not work. I am about to throw out because I cannot find any answers to my problem.
My laptop is a 17" screen so I bought the largest monitor I could with Mobile Pixels (14")....I would highly recommend this company produce screens to fit larger laptops such as mine. It's smaller than my 17" and therefore can not be placed deadcenter of my laptop on the back as the directions show...MOBILE PIXELS, please make a screen large enough to accommodate a 17" laptop. Thank you. Suzanne
These monitors fit my laptop perfectly. They’re easy to setup and install. Lightweight and the resolution is great. Fantastic for working on the go. The only downfall for me is that the magnets sometime interfere with a laptop that converts to a tablet. Otherwise I’m very happy with the product. I would recommend and purchase again
I got to say as far as functionality goes, I absolutely love this product. I work as a freelance data analyst and the ability to show up to any client meeting with any number of screens I need ready to go is absolutely fantastic. The lag is nearly non-existent, and the resolution and quality are exceptional. My only complaint is that my brand-new in-box purchase came with scratches on the cover. I was really disappointed in that considering what great care they take in boxing and protecting the product. Its evident that the product was scratched BEFORE it was place in the box, the box and the protective coverings were immaculate. I take pride in taking great care of my product, especially technology, so something showing up physically marred was disappointing but it didn't affect the overall function. I'd suggest some quality control on the product before it is packaged to ensure high attention to details on an expensive product, but otherwise super happy with my purchase.
I work entirely on the computer. I got the one of the duel trio, and it has literally changed my life. I absolutely love this monitor. I cannot work without it. Its probably the best purchase I have made in a really long time. When I'm traveling, I easily work at max capacity at the airport, at the hotel, wherever I am, just as if I'm at my desk at home. So many people have come up to me and asked about it in amazement. I have the larger one and its the same size as my computer screen, so its like having two computers at once. When its time to pack up, I slide it right in and shut my computer. The product is great quality, when I'm home, I leave it connected to my computer at all times and it stays put, not flimsy at all its as if its a part of my laptop. A few months in I did start to experience some flickering, but I reached out to customer service and without any issue, hesitation or arguing they sent me a replacement at no cost to me, and its perfect as expected. As slightly frustrated as I was with the flickering issue, I admit the product is so great I cant go back to working without it, I put up with the flickering until my replacement came because I am that dependent on the product now. The customer support rep that helped me, David, was so great, helpful and kind. He was so responsive too, answered all of my rant filled emails with a kind response within a few hours or less. He was such a great help and I am grateful he was assigned to me. I am writing this review because David was such a great person to communicate with and I would like him to get the recognition he deserves. Thanks to the Mobile Pixels team, 5 stars for the product, 5 stars for the customer service, much appreciated!
The trio max monitors I bought are brilliant. They were easy to set up and work well with my laptop. The weight of the monitors meant I buy the kick stand because it was easier than having my laptop screen and the monitors sinking down when all connected.
It is a real shame there is not a work around to connect you iPhone to the monitors. I’ve still been flying interstate for work and it would be easier to project my virtual desktop from my phone than to unpack and repack all of my carry on luggage. If this could be resolved it would be a brilliant addition to an already extremely useful device. Not being able to connect to iPhone is the only draw back.
dont bother the monitors are consttantly going black on and off. the magnets dont hold the monitors i had to find my own way of making them stick with velcro. at this moment im now in the process of claiming a refund. a great concept but that is all this is its not a working solution needs to be perfected.
