Great buy would purchase again

I purchased this product to more rapidly enter information from numerous fields from different webpages. Great screen, convenient design protecting screen face from scratches sliding it away for storing. Well priced, gets the job done for the basic 2x speed improvement I desired. Most unique but useful purchase I've made all year so thought I'd share a bit, scrolling past it in my order history.

I have two laptops. And it worked flawlessly on one, but the magnets weren't strong enough.However one my other laptop, the magnets interfered with my laptop's monitor. It would rendered my laptop's screen black.Cool concept, but let's wait for its competitors to fix the magnet issue :)

While I love the portability of my laptop, I really miss having more than one monitor when I am unable to connect to my monitor at my office. Wow....this is a fantastic solution. I am so impressed with the MP Trio that I am going to get a second to setup a three monitor setup for my laptop. I highly recommend this for anyone who prefers a dual or triple monitor setup but needs to work remotely from their desk.

Screen quality worse than macbook, looks a bit off

Overall the product is decent, but I would not buy again.Pros:- It actually works.- If you really NEED a dual screen setup, this is not badCons:-Magnets don't hold on well to the back of the laptop. The screen just ends up sliding down and resting on the table/desk a bit.- Screen quality is not good. I switched over to Mac a few years ago. The screen quality reminds me of my first beat up laptop that I got at a yard sale. It's not terrible and its clear for work related purposes, but it is much less sharp than the mac.At this price point, if you need it, then get it. But if this is just a luxury purchase, you might be disappointed with the screen quality if your used to the sharpness of newer Macs. I didn't even realize how sharp Mac screens are until I attached this thing.Overall I thought I'd like it more for coding related work, but the quality kinda turned me away from it. Also, the construction of the plastic is a bit on the cheaper side. Not too bad, but honestly not the best either.It gets the job done, but I would purchase something better if I knew it existed.

It does not work for Apply M1 Macbooks

I brought a Trio and it works fine on my non-M1 MacBook Pro. After installing he Usb display device driver, it works fine with my non-M1 MacBook Pro. But the same driver failed to work for M1.I returned it and brought a Sidetrak. Now I have a comparison between the two. Trio has better support for screen rotation (it rotates by itself). Also it has control panel built in the monitor. This is great for controlling brightness etc.The cons are,First, the magnetic plate is much bigger than Sidetrak. So it looks more intrusive on your laptop's face.Second, the two tracks system in Sidetrack is better. This allows me to stick the magnetic plates in center of the laptop (in Trio, I have to stick them to one side). Also it makes it impossible for you to use your screen on both left and right side of the laptop.Third, the cable looks slicker and comes with a build in binder. I like this small but convenient feature.Fourth, the track on Sidetrack is metal. Feels more stable.

I recently purchased a 17" laptop and given I trade stocks, I needed a 2nd screen and this is a perfect addition to what I need to maximize my trading and news data feeds. Perfect size and very user friendly. I am heading out of town and the laptop with this 2nd screen fits perfectly in the laptop bag! You will be pleased with your purchase!

Quality of Made of key parts Questionable

I have high hope and eager anticipation after I bought your MP Trio for my laptop and I consider myself an "early adopter" for any IT related products.The package arrived later than usual by Fedex and tax has to be paid (receiving it in Taiwan)The packaging of my MP Trio is a little simple and not quite have the "high end" feelThe MP Trio installation is super easy but the instruction as to how to line up the edges may need a little improvement. But after installation, the "needs" of edge alignment become obvious.My straight and most important comments would be as follow:the screen is way too heavy and need to be addressed in next generationthe hinges of the screen is unexpectedly weak and I am sure it won't last more than a month if all the possible positions will be used by users interchangeablyIn fact, i flipped my screen to try on portrait standing to the flipped reverse displaying at the back of laptop screen, the hinges are already failing and tend to jam the screen edges apartthe weight of the screen wont allow a laptop stand to be used.....as the weight of the screen will till the laptop sideway.the weight of the screen will also slowly slide the screen down the back of my laptop since the four magnets just won't hold it in place strong enough.the overall quality is just not to the required standard for it to last for a year or intended mobile use.....unless the Trio will be used and stay at one position.I cannot imagine how it will hold if an additional third screen will be added. I also supposed the Trio Max is even heavier.Screen pixel quality is good.Installation is a snap.Dont think the Trio is ready as a commercial product.

Be careful, does not attach well with curved monitor back

I bought 2 monitors and stacked them up for left and right. However, the back of my laptop's monitor is slightly curved and the magnet doesn't stick to the metal. It's less obvious with one monitor although once I extend it outward it moved a bit. With two, it definitely can't hold. In the end, I was able to hold them up with an object behind the monitors to prevent them from falling.
