My favorite, go-to knife

I'm the cook in my house. I cook every day and have since I was a young man. Over the years I've owned many quality knives but none have survived the test of time and performance like my Shun 6" utility. The handle shows signs of extensive wear, the blade has some nicks and the tip is rounded but this knife is my first choice for most tasks. I just sent it back today to be sharpened after many years of wear and tear. Shun stands by it's products as this great tool has done for me. Now I have to find a stand in until it returns.
One other thing. Having a knife as sharp and precise as the Classic Shun utility makes it also the safest knife you'll ever have in your hand. It doesn't skip or jump or slide. It's the safest knife I've ever had.

My first Shun

Well, it was my first Shun, and is now the proud matriarch of a happy family of seven other shun's and counting. Very useful knife the only thing it won't do is chop. Between this and the Santoku anything can be done in a pinch.
