This has been great so far. I love the features and everything sees accurate, or at least consistent. The best part is only charge it about once a week instead of it running out of battery by sometimes not even the end of day.
Watch really surprised me on all fronts. Lightweight, bright large screen, amazing battery, good auto workout tracking, sleep tracking, food tracking etc.
With an iPhone I get everything I need which is app, call, text notifications… which if they are important I just grab my phone anyways. So for me there is no downside.
Let’s talk about the battery. I received my watch and it had over 55% battery. 7-10 days later after I tracked a bunch of workouts and a gps tracked walk I had 35%. Amazing battery life!
Good value. The watch has a lot of functions, for me, might be too many. I want my heart rate, distance & to be able to answer/make calls. It does that pretty well . I saw the Active 2, it was a little too small, the active Max, is too big. I wish it were a little smaller, maybe square, wasted space on a round screen. The band is ok, not the most comfortable. They tell you to keep it tight for accurate HR, but the clasp digs right into the skin. Overall the app setup is good, no problems. It has a set of metrics comparable to more expensive watches. I bought a protective cover since its an amoled screen, but it makes an already big watch bigger....so might remove that. The battery lasts pretty long, I had 5 days before recharging. Ill prob look for a different band to, but hard to beat the price & value.
So far, I have only used my new watch for a couple of days, so I am figuring out how compares to the Apple Watch, but so far I love it. I love the big screen, and I love all the data that comes with it. I am still figuring out how to use the workouts to my advantage, but so far so good!
So far I've been using the watch in my training for the February 15th marathon in Austin, and I'm very pleased with it. It's lightweight, the screen size and quality make it very easy to read, and I haven't had any problems with the GPS.
