We have been using Roku since it first came out and have never had problems with them. The only reason I buy new units is because I want the new tech. I have recommended Roku to friends and they love them as well. It’s about their interface. It’s easy to use, logical and senior and child friendly.
The "mute" button, on the side of the device is constantly being mistakenly turned on/off just by picking it up. Possibly put it where those useless direct connections are located forcing you to hit "Disney" and "Netflix" when you are watching in a darkened room. I've also noticed that I go through a couple of batteries a week -- don't know why that happens since it didn't with my previous (lower tech?) remote. Otherwise -- love ROKU.
We bought this to the main controller for our TV and 3 or 4 streaming services. Easy to setup and navigate. Menus usually better as they send out updates. We own 2 Roku devices. I would recommend these to friends.
I’m a senior citizen and my tv service was frequently getting higher. My son purchased the Roku for me and I love it! Not only do I see all the streaming services I want, but I’m saving money, too
