Avoid the rechargeable voice remote

I purchased a Roku Ultra which is bundled with a rechargeable voice remote. The remote worked for 2 months and then would not hold a charge. It now needs to be plugged into a charger to function at all. I contacted support 3 times and spent 2+ hours trying to get it replaced. They asked me multiple times for my order info, address, etc. and said they would send me a email with shipping info but I still haven’t received it. Roku support is horrible and this remote is ridiculous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the second one I have purchased. It's so easy to install and use. It literally takes about 3 minutes.

I bought my original Roku about 6 months ago. It lasted about 2 months and then it didn’t work. The Roku company replaced the remote and the second one only lasted a couple weeks. We decided to purchase a new Roku about a month ago. Each time we ran into issues we changed out the batteries and that didn’t work. The new one is no longer working either. Not too happy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Mary! We appreciate your feedback. No worries! We're here to help. First, we advise you to check that the batteries are aligned correctly and that no debris is blocking the path. Second, please reboot the device by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. Lastly, if you're using the TV's USB port for the device's power, try plugging it into the wall outlet.
In the meantime, I encourage you to use the Roku app. It has everything you need to control your streaming, search with your voice, enjoy private listening, and quickly launch your most recent channels. The app is free to download to your iOS and Android phone; search for "The Roku app official." If you need more assistance along the way, you can contact the Roku support team here: support.roku.com/contactus.
