Unit seemed to work fine for awhile and then just after warranty expired I started getting messages saying unplug usb cable from tv and use 110V power adapter. I did and continued having issues. Contacted support who told me I was out of warranty and they wouldn’t help. Too bad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, Joe. Help is here! As a quick fix, we recommend using an adapter with a power output of 5 Volts and 1 Amp (1000 mA) or a regular phone charger adaptor and plugging it into a wall outlet. Connecting to a wall outlet ensures that your Roku streaming player doesn’t need to power up each time you turn on your TV. This means your player will be ready to use faster than if connected to the TV. For more information, please refer to this link: https://support.roku.com/article/217787747#section-2. If the issue persists, let us know at http://support.roku.com/contactus. Thanks! Roku Customer Advocate

I recently got a 1Gigabit internet connection and after talking to work Colleagues, I settled on the Roku Express 4k+. It works well, and easy to setup. Along with Google TV, I am able to access my favorite cable channels. There are so many features that I have yet to use and look forward to trying them.
