beautiful machine, though a few quibbles

I got the light blue aqua color K-Mini, and it's beautiful. I love that it takes up so much less counter space than my previous model, this one being much more economical in size. The unit is sturdy and seems well-made, and is a bit easier to operate than my previous model as well..
Downsides: It makes a weird, loud *click-clunk* sound occasionally when the unit is NOT brewing (i.e., when it's just sitting there on the counter not in use). Also, the drip tray is too low, and not adjustable. Too much distance between the cup and where the coffee comes out. This means that coffee splatters everywhere and constantly makes a mess.
Despite the minor negatives, I'm still very happy with my purchase.

Perfect size

We take this with us when we travel. We know it is clean and we can always count on having "our" favorite coffee brewed exactly the way we like it in the morning. Never do we have to settle for bad or ok coffee.

Got this because my Mom got it - she lives alone, we are just 2, and we usually drink one cup a day each. It brews quickly and the temp is just right. Since it doesn't allow for using reusable-filters, I can't ground my fave beans and cringe a little tossing the used cups. Takes up the same counter space as a small knife block so tucks away. It's a little splashy - dried coffee drops surround it.
