This replaces my 12 year old B31 Mini Brewer. Got a new kitchen counter and the old B31 had a steel bottom plate that left rust stains behind, so I wanted to replace it. This new model has a plastic bottom, so that shouldn't be an issue. It's a little slower to start than my old one, as this pumps the water into the heating chamber instead of just opening a large plug and letting it dump in, but I like this model better. It's slimmer, takes a MUCH taller mug (even some of my standard mugs barely fit in the old model - unless removing the drip tray), and the BIG start button on top makes it easy to start the brew in the same motion as closing the top.
