The BEST ear buds I have ever owned. I don't have to worry about them falling out of my ears. I don't have to stop the music to hear people talking or miss hearing important sounds and phone calls. I could not be happier and it doesn't interfere with my abilities and responsibilities at work.
I’m very happy with my purchase these ear buds aloud me to hear talk around me and still listen to music. Only wish I could track them in case I’ve misplaced them .
Purchased the product to primarily use while cycling to replace my bone-conduction system that was bothering my ears. Overall they work great but do have limitations. At $299 they’re expensive knowing you’ll more than likely need a second noise-canceling pair for traveling. I found them great for hiking and cycling unless the wind picked up and while descending or reaching speeds over 25 mph on the bike. The wind just makes it impossible to hear an audio book and/or music. Similarly, wearing them on a flight was challenging too. At the highest volume level it was difficult to hear clearly. While siting in the terminal my girlfriend said she could hear what I was listening to. So I’ll use my noise canceling headphones to travel. They are incredibly comfortable! So much so I forgot I had them on several times. Drawback is they will pop off relatively easily if brushed or hit. Taking off a shirt will launch them. Taking off my cycling helmet knocked them off as well. Just need to be aware. Again, a truly great product and easy to set up and link to the iPhone but limited in scope.

Thanks for your review of the Ultra Open Earbuds! Good to hear that they're working well for you most of the time when you're out hiking and cycling. I'm also happy to hear that you find them very comfortable to wear.
It is true that wind can be a distracting factor if you're using the earbuds when travelling at faster speeds. Also, since the Ultra Open Earbuds don't feature noise cancelling due to their open-ear design, we would indeed recommend noise-cancelling earbuds or headphones if you're looking to block out surrounding sounds on e.g. a plane.
I’ve had these since they came out and I don’t regret the purchase at all. Sound quality is great, although they lack a little bit on the base end of things. However I don’t typically listen to music for the bass so it’s not something I miss. Take these running with me and it makes it easier to talk to and listen to my daughter, who goes with me, and I don’t constantly have to adjust the volume or press anything to stop the music. They stay in place, don’t slip or move. Recommend for anyone with an active lifestyle.

Thanks for your review, Tad! I'm happy to hear that you like the Ultra Open Earbuds, especially the sound, open-ear design and secure fit.
To adjust the bass (or the midrange and treble), you can use the Bose Music app to access the "EQ" options, via the product control screen.
I bought these a week ago. You can hear the music well but audio for calls are bad. The person in the other end of the call hears everything in your back ground and have to constantly, ask what did you say?

Thanks for your review! I'm happy that you like the size and comfort of the Ultra Open Earbuds.
If people you're talking to can hear background noise, try moving to a quieter environment. Also, firmware update 4.0.22 was released to bring enhancements to your far-end call performance, via improved voice pickup. Try installing this update (or later) via the Bose app, and see if the issue improves.

Bought the earbud’s about a month ago. Amazing! Bose has never disappointed. Bought a set of 301 bookshelf speakers in the early 80’s. Still in service. Also 120 series outdoor speakers. And Acoustimass. Keep up the great work!
