I have got these earbuds and I have complained about them as I really don't like them. The call quality has been really poor. I have got the ultra open and my dad has got the ultra earbuds 2nd gen, but both of them have really terrible call quality, they keep disconnecting and can barely hear the other person. I have been using bose for the longest time, the previous ones were much better.
Great when it works, but frequently drops connection, picks up background noise and doesn't simply perform on a top of the line level earbuds. Hardware may be ok, feels more like the software and programming bugs frequently and doesn't get the most out of its capacities.
I love these. I've had them for about 6 months and bought a pair for my wife, who also loves them. They're comfortable, you can hear your environment pretty well if you want to, the audio sound is very good (they don't have as much bass response as over-ear headphones, but it's still quite good), they have very long battery life (you can use them all day for audio plus a couple typical phone calls), the bluetooth pairing is reliable and switches effortlessly between two sources, and the controls are easier to remember and use than any other earbuds I've had. I've used Jabra, Airpods, and Bose QC, and these are my overall favorite. The only drawbacks are the expense--of course--and they do make me look like a pirate, which isn't necessarily a negative. They do kind of look like earrings for me if I position them low, which may be undesirable for some.
Very comfortable in your ear. Great sound for music given the form. But phone calls are tough to hear, even with minimal background noise. They would be perfect if the volume of phone calls matched music volume.
