[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds for about a month now, and they’ve impressed me in several ways. The open-ear design is really comfortable, and I love how it doesn’t block out all the sounds around me. This makes it perfect for my runs because I can hear traffic and people, while still enjoying music or podcasts at a high quality.
Sound-wise, these earbuds deliver clear and crisp audio, especially in the Immersive Audio mode. It feels like the sound surrounds me, which is great when watching movies or listening to music with rich detail. However, if you’re into bass-heavy tracks, you might find the low-end a bit lacking. It’s not as punchy as in-ear buds, but for an open-ear design, it’s impressive.
One downside is that these earbuds don’t have noise cancellation, which I sometimes miss when I’m in busy places like a cafe or on the train. However, I understand that this is a trade-off for the open design, which lets me stay aware of my surroundings.
The fit is secure, though it feels a bit strange at first. During a particularly sweaty workout, I noticed one earbud slipping slightly, but it never actually fell off. Battery life is pretty good — I can get about 7 hours of listening in stereo mode, but if I use the immersive mode, it drains faster.
Overall, these are a great option if you need situational awareness while enjoying high-quality sound. Perfect for outdoor activities and light workouts, but maybe not the best for noisy environments.

These are not worth the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got the Bose ultra open earbuds last week and I love the sound quality. There are three things I believe need to be worked out. The part that goes into the ear has some sharp parts that do poke and irritate the skin. The second part is that the earbuds disconnect frequently. It seems they can’t stay connected all the time even when the phone is with me. Thirdly I’d the microphone quality out direction seems to be off. When talking to someone the microphone picks up everything around you and hardly hear your voice. Your voice comes out muffled and soft. If these things could be worked out there’s would be the best on the market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchases the Bose Ultra Earbuds because I have a problem wearing earbuds. They make my ears itch and feel “swampy” for lack of a better word. I almost don’t purchase them due to prior reviews but I’m thrilled I did. I can exercise, clean house, basically do any activity and they stay put. The sound is really good but I mainly use them to listen to audiobooks. They are great for music too.

Awesome buds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase these a couple of weeks ago and have been using them during my workouts. I sweat a lot and they have been perfect! They do not fall off and the sound is great. I worried that I would be able to hear the noise in the gym but I do not and no one hears me. They are so light and comfortable I would not know I had them on if I did not hear the music. They also connect to my Peloton Bike without a problem. I will be giving a pair to my husband for Christmas!

Comfortable earbuds that stay in place

Overall these are the best earbuds I’ve ever used. They are comfortable, stay in place, and have the great sound quality that Bose is known for. Initially skeptical, I’m now a fan of the clip-on design. I’ve never had them fall off, yet they are so comfortable I forget they’re attached. Finally, battery life is way better than expected. I’ve used them four hours in a single session without needing a charge, which way more than expected.
