Great Alternative

I'm always hated those because no matter what size fittings I used they made my ears hurt after about 30 seconds. These bothered me at first and I was afraid I was going to have to return them, but I stuck with it and now I just love them! And the Sunset Copper color is to die for!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I understand that these are intended to keep the listener aware and be comfortable. Unfortunately, the sound disparity in comparison to the ultra 2 or over-ear headphones was too significant, and I had difficulty with finding a comfortable placement. I also understand that my intent is to be able to be locked into whatever I'm doing which includes strong noise cancelling, so these were just not quite the right fit.

Wonderful Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Ultra Open Earbuds as a Christmas gift for myself. The set up was absurdly easy. The online product instructions are excellent. The buds are extremely comfortable, are secure while I'm walking and continually surprise with features that I did not know existed. For example, there will be a brief interruption to a book I'm listening to on Audible to announce the distance walked, the time taken or when I've closed an exercise ring on my app, then it effortlessly slips back to the exact place where the book interruption took place. More important, sound quality is excellent and the choice for complete noise cancellation or partial is quite helpful depending upon the environment (as in not always using complete noise cancellation while walking in a busy area).

Lasted about as long as my motivation on a Monday

The audio quality wasn’t very strong, and the materials felt a bit cheaper than expected. I appreciate the idea behind the product, but the durability just wasn’t there for me.

I wouldn't say they are the best sounding Bose headphones I have nor are they good at noise cancellation but that's not why I purchased them. I am constantly wearing in the ear or over the ear headphones and these Ultra Open earbuds are the perfect set to wind down with after a long day.

My favorite earbuds

Good range on Bluetooth. I have used them for running and they are exceptional. Battery life is okay. The charger works well.
