Perfect for outdoor walkers wanting great audio

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recommend Bose Ultra Open Earbuds to anyone who uses headphones or earbuds on their outdoor walks. I bought mine for several reasons: First because I trusted the audio would be excellent since that is what Bose is known for. Second, I find traditional earbuds painful, so having an earbud that fits snug around the back of my ear was perfect. The first time I saw these beauties, I made plans to buy them. Finally, being a pedestrian in Phoenix is risky, so being able to hear outdoor sounds while walking makes my daily treks much safer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love mine. Got lots of compliments and the battery lasts forever. I got mine new and they’re great, but my boyfriend got the refurbished ones and they’re awful. Static noise on left bud, battery percentages are always funky and die quickly specially during phone calls. Buy new if you can, the refurbished is not worth it

Best for working out

These are my favorite for workouts and yard work. They’re fantastic because you get great sound while still staying aware of your surroundings. I can listen to music and still hear my wife if she calls me—something you don’t get with most headphones.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these 2 months ago and am very pleased with them. Great sound quality. I use them mostly listening to music while bike commuting and listening to webinars in the office on my computer. The open ear design is great for biking as it allows me to hear traffic around me. They are also very comfortable to wear - I hardly notice that I have them on. Which, unfortunately, is their one drawback. I find that I need to be careful when putting my bike helmet on or off as the straps on the helmet can catch on the earbuds removing them from my ears.
The previous pair of Bose earbuds I had were the ones which had both earbuds attached together with a small, 10" wire. That was a bit more secure and prevented loosing a single (or both) earbuds.

Ears to big

I ultimately could not use them due to my ears being too wide in the area where they would fit the best. Good product overall but my ears would not cooperate for a good fit.

perfect balance - comfort & real world awareness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds have quickly become my go-to for everyday life. The fit is so light and comfortable that I honestly forget I’m wearing them, even during long runs or running errands nonstop.
As a veterinary nurse who’s constantly on my feet, and someone who spends a lot of time walking dogs and staying active - I really appreciate being able to hear my music clearly while still staying aware of my surroundings. Whether I’m out on a walk, riding my bike, or moving through a full day, I never feel disconnected from what’s around me, which is incredibly important to me. Being able to stay safe and aware while still enjoying the soundtrack of my day feels like such a luxury.
Another huge plus is how private the listening experience is. I can take calls without worrying about anyone around me hearing my conversations, which makes them even more practical for everyday use.
Also… the Midnight Violet color? I’m obsessed. It’s sleek, a little bold, and just really fun to wear.
