Love the Larger Mixing Boek

My old mixer was also a 5.5 Kitchenaide. 27 years old and still going strong. The 7qt is great for larger batches of bread.

Best machine ever

I have owned a Kitvhenaid mixer since 2001 and was ready for an upgrade, so my son decided to gift one to me. These machines are almost indestructible and so easy to use. Love love love it.

Beautiful & powerful however….

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does a really great job but seriously regretting I bought this one. It’s too difficult to change out beaters and add ingredients during the mixing process without being able to lift the head. Also too difficult to scrape the sides of the bowl to completely incorporate what’s on the sides. Snapping the bowl in isn’t easy either, I think I prefer the older style for that reason as well. I feel it’s really heavy and awkward to move. In this particular instance I’d say Bigger isn’t Better for me.

Needed an Upgrade - Bigger bowl and Half Speed!

I have had my 5 quart bowl lift mixer for 28 years and it still works perfectly but the setting speeds were only 2/4/6/8/10. When I saw the 7 quart bowl lift at the KitcheAid Senior Golf Championship at the demo tent I knew I needed an upgrade with all the new features including the half speed for folding. Feeling confident this will last another 25 years because KitchenAid mixers are the best!

Great features

However, I am disappointed at this one. I de used to get a pink one this time.. and well after just a few uses scratching/scuffing of the paint occurred.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Heavy duty, heavy, sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this appliance a few months ago and it is expensive for a very good reason. The appliance is heavy, well built and designed to last a very long time. I use it for the hardest application, making bread dough and the appliance doesn't struggle or strain to do it. You could probably mix concrete with it if you wanted.
