We bought a travel backpack for my daughter, she loves it. Very good quality, comfortable on the back, perfect size for carry on luggage. We like it a lot and my husband and I will get 2 another same backpacks for ourselves.
Have only used this bag about 5 times so far and I love it. Great quality, great design. I really like how you can size it down or up depending on your travel needs. The only thing I would like to see is a touch more padding on the shoulder straps. I can start to feel them after wearing for a while through an airport or walking. This is only a minor detail for me being I love every other aspect of the bag.
this bag is super tough and carries so much stuff. I packed clothes for an 8 day trip for myself in this bag, binoculars, computer, multiple chargers, water bottle, coffee mug, dop kit, and even fit my sons diaper bag. there are so many features and places to organize things that are well hidden and intuitive to use. i highly recommend this bag as a carryon alternative
Got this bag before travelling with carry-on luggage only to London. It was large enough for a two-week trip which included lots of walkabout and lunches at Michelin-starred restaurants (and the required formal attire).
The pros are well covered in other reviews. I liked the accessibility, the security, the secured pocket, the ease of organization and the perfect fit of packing cubes.
Things I wished for: a flat bottom. It is impossible to stand this on a train or bus without it falling over. I appreciate the many pockets for organization, but it adds to the base weight of this. If weight is an issue (as it was for me on a recent prop plane trip to Marble Canyon), having all the access zippers and many pockets adds a lot to the weight. I'm not sure the perfect balance has been achieved with this bag. For me, I would prefer fewer access points and pockets in exchange for a lighter-weight bag.
Overall this bag is incredible - its fits the most of any cabin bag I've tried, is incredibly smart with its design, and they've thought of almost everything. The big thing holding it back for me however is the shoulder straps and waist belt are pretty thin on the padding and don't offer a lot of support - the bag itself weights 2kg then when you add in your clothing, shoes, laptop and camera - carrying the bag for a few hours, queuing at airports, walking to your accommodation etc gets pretty uncomfortable. Once they solve this it's perfect.
This bag is likely the best bag I have and I have a lot of Peak Design bags! It certainly can fit everything I need for any length of a trip. I can always keep the bag as a carry on and/or on my body. I love the thought and design that went into it, especially the center divider that can be accessed from both sides. I also love the "no slop" look of everything as well. The two negatives I have is that if you are using a camera cube and clip it for side access, it definitely messes up the packing cube setup, unless you plan in advance. Secondly, I'd love a cleaner look for the compressed state rather than the buttons/smushed look. Other than that, I feel like this is one of my last travel bags for a long time.
