Love the travel backpack. Been using it since it first came out years ago and recently just bought a second.
It perfectly fits one medium and one small packing cube. Fits my needs whenever I need to go somewhere for a weekend and don't want to drag a suitcase around. Perfect for weekend trips into Manhattan where there's typically lots of steps when navigating mass transit.
First one has held up really well - basically looks new. Got the second one for my wife.
Pretty happy overall with this bag. I purchased it for a travel carry-on for an upcoming trip, but have also been using it for a daily bag for work even though it is a little large for an everyday bag. The collapsible top has helped with keeping the bulk down a bit.
Pros: Premium materials, plenty of access, versatility. Many reviews say the straps are not comfortable, but my experience has been great with them.
Cons: The top handle is difficult to grab as it is a bit too snug to the top of the bag. Occasionally the zipper for the large compartment feels like it gets stuck on one of the corners. Nothing jammed, just difficult to zip around the corner.
The backpack was great - good quality and excellent design. The larger Travel Backpack was too large for me so I returned 2 of them (one black and one ocean). The return process was a nightmare however. I had to chase the returns department multiple times and provide proof of posting and delivery to them several times before the return was issued weeks later.
This bag, a few packing cubes, and well though out clothes and there's no limit to how long you can travel. It is very sturdy, with tons of features and access.
I bought this to carry a mix of photographic and travel gear whilst moving between various forms of transport. I have carried it around for short periods with it loaded up to around 11·5 kg and it is fine. Routinely I have comfortably carried it for a couple of hours loaded to around 7-8 kg. The hip belt and the chest strap help a lot with comfort What I like best: —The easy access; —The side access that can avoid opening up the whole case just to reach a camera; —The stowable straps that are great when moving between modes of transport; —The many compartments; —The multiple handles. —The security tabs on the zips; —The compression poppers that make the bag look so much sleeker.
What I think might be improved: —The side-opening zips are single ended. Double ended would be nice; —When lifting a well stuffed bag using the side handles, the compression poppers invariably come undone.
Overall, I have found this to be a very versatile, convenient and durable bag that works even better with the camera cubes and I am very happy with my choice.
The 45L is best travel backpack out there. It is durable and still perfect condition after over 600 flights. It easily packs 5 days for my business trips, and laptop, tablet, 18” travel monitor, mini pc and keyboard and two PD tech pods. I even pack two suits on occasions. It fits in the overhead bins even in the smaller planes like the CRJ900.
Bought this a little over a month ago and was suprised at how much I am able to fit into it. Pockets both internal and external are great for all the various chargers and gadgets I have on trips.
