The bag looks great and is comfortable as well. It holds everything I need for a two week long trip. I would highly recommend the bag and as a matter of fact anything from peak design.
This is such a great bag. I travel A LOT for work and pleasure so I have a lot of travel experience. I usually take a roller bag, because you can fill that up and not worry about weight. However, going through areas with uneven terrain (for me Bangkok and Tokyo primarily) was really a chore. Lifting a roller over stairs or the long waits for elevators in train stations was really not ideal. This bag really solves those problems. The trade-off is, of course, weight on your back/shoulders which can be hard for long treks. However, this bag helps keep me mobile, fits a ton of gear securely, intuitively, and with great ease of access. It's really a great bag and fits basically as much as a full carry-on roller if you're willing to carry the weight. It's also really comfortable and pretty good looking in my opinion. Highly recommended.
Just traveled with my new bag for the first time, spending a few weeks in New Zealand. Peak Design has thought of everything you need to a camera bag / travel bag. I bought this as a bag for all of my camera / drone gear, but am strongly leaning towards using it as my carry-on backpack for my road warrior job as well. Watch the Setup & Use video to see that they really have thought of everything. They've used super high quality components; I've never reviewed a zipper before, but damn, these are nice zippers! If you're in the market for a travel backpack, this is hands down the bag you need.
I have never loved a bag as much as this bag. It covers me for everything. Taking my gym kit. Check. Add my laptop? Check. Add my Camera? Check. Store my sweaty kit separately. Zip up the divider. Check. Throw it around like an empty chip packet and not worry about damaging anything? Check. Straps stronger than that gym in the gym that wear a vest too small for him. Check. It's actually endless what this bag has. In seriousness I watched review after review and ended up going for it and I am so happy with it. Great job Peak Design :D
love this bag. Great features on have multi compartment and also have the option to have it wide open. Great feature to be able to hide the straps if wanted. I got the sage color and I'm not disappointed with it but it does reminds me more of a military color. The bag when loaded is quite heavy but does pack a lot of stuff. Also a great feature is to be able to lock the zippers for theft protection. I have only every used the bag fully load and it fits a medium packing cube as well as my wash pouch and tech pouch. Would recommend it to anyone that wants a bag for life it ment to last.
This is a uniquely well designed travel pack- access to the bag is best I have seen, shoulderstrap and hip belt system is more easily stowed away than anyother bag. Materials, fabrics and zippers are of the highest quality, and the expandabilty/compression is also the best design on the market. It is a terrific design!
Finding a bag that can be used for anything is difficult, but peak design has done it. I took this bag over 1500km on my motorcyle through wind and rain... had no backache, plenty of room for my clothes, wet weather items, towel and my work tablet and NOTHING GOT WET due to the wet weather cover. When stopping I could strap my helmet to the backpack and wander around. If I needed to strap it to the back of the bike I could hide the straps out of the way and ockey strap it down, although with its comfort I never felt the need to do that. The packing cubes that came with my purchase meant I had more room in my travel bag than I bargained for. Highly Recommended for ANY travel you do. Have mine in the Sage Green and it's very stylish and professional.
