I absolutely love my new 45L travel backpack, it has amazing conveniences, it's constructed of tough material, and it's more versatile than any other travel bag I've owned. It offers wonderful packing capabilities, especially utilizing Peak's available accessories, and it creates an abundance of options for both short and long trips. I knew nothing of Peak Design's products, conducted my own research prior to purchase, and I'm thoroughly impressed.
Well-built Bag but heavy to carry around when fully packed!

Carried this bag for a short trip to Taipei. The bag was well-built overall, good quality materials but when packed fully with gears, clothes and accessories, felt very weighed down, and this is not helped by the reels Ticket thin straps that kind of “cut” on the shoulders. Was exhausted and tired in the back & shoulders after carrying it for a few hours. Otherwise, liked the design and the build of the travel bag.
Just spent 2 weeks living out of the pack in Northern Europe. Carries well and held everything, with expansion room on the return trip for gifts. Is baggage handler repellent and designed to keep the back panel upright so that if you do check it, the back-panel stays clean. Well thought out trim with a place for everything. Easy size for maneuvering on trains and buses and I brought a rain cover and never needed it as the fabric sheds water well. The padding allows the bag to keep its shape and yet the frame-less design tucks well into bins and allows smashing as needed. Works with other brand cubes/pack it pouches easily. This handled it all.
I just got back from a 10 day trip to Maine using the travel backpack as my only bag. I carried a mirrorless camera, a full sized tripod and enough other stuff for the entire trip. The bag fit into every overhead compartment, even on a relatively small jet where people with roller bags had to check them. While in Maine, I used the bag as my camera bag while hiking in the mountains or traveling through Portland. Being able to snap it down to smaller profile was nice. Its a little big, but not too bad. It left space for rain gear and a heavier jacket. The front compartment was very convenient for accessing small items during travel and the side access for the camera was obviously useful as well. The waist strap isn't the best, but it was good enough while hiking. The fastener on it, though, could stand improvement. Overall I would highly recommend this pack. It is as good as advertised.
I travel frequently for work, and use this backpack every trip. I've been searching for the ultimate travel backpack and this is the best one I've found after more than a dozen attempts. The features, flexibility, , durability, quality, and functionality of this make it unparalleled in the market. Could not recommend more!
Other than looking awesome, this bag is perfect for when you know you're just bringing your camera and maybe a lens, extra battery, and a snack. It's great to have a smaller option for little trips or hikes. It's comfortable and I like that I can wear it around my waist to take the pressure off my shoulders...not as a fanny pack, but as a stylish bag that I wear on my fanny. ;) this brand is freaking dynamite.
I bought this bag after doing research for weeks. After two trips with it I can say it's one of the best designed things I've ever owned. It fit everything I would need for any length of trip, it fit as a carry on on the plane, and every time I got into it I found a new design feature to be in aw of. If you need a carryon back that will never quit, this is the one.
I had a problem: I was carrying two bags every day, a messenger bag and a gym duffel bag, because I needed to break my work stuff but also went to the gym after work. It was a huge pain. I ended up getting this backpack plus some packing cubes and it fits everything with room to spare. This is the perfect choice if you need an EDC but for LOTS of stuff.
