It is the perfect size for having a road trip. the material is very durable and water-proof, I don't need to worry too much about getting my equipment wet when I film outdoor in the raining season. But I encountered an issue,, there was a loosen thread stuck in the zip, I was about to open the larger compartment which caused me some time to take the thread out. Other than that, I am satisfied with the travel backpack.
I went on a search for a few months for a travel backpack, and I probably tested a dozen or so. Some were too bulky, some too small. Some had weird straps. Some made the backpack feel awkward with a laptop in it.
This bag ended up being perfect for me. I love how easily the waist belt hides away and how comfortable it is even without the waist belt. And my laptop doesn't add any discomfort to the bag.
My favorite feature is the side access zippers. Didn't think I'd care about this at all, but it's absolutely amazing being able to get into the bag so many different ways. No more digging around to find what you need!
I purchased this bag for a recent trip to Ecuador. I didn't want to check a bag, but knew I had to pack a suit for a wedding. This was the perfect solution.
The harness system feels great on my back. The added support from the hip straps and the chest strap helped a lot, and they were easy to tuck away when I didn't need them. I also really liked how I can fold the magnetic flaps under for extra padding on my back. I tucked the internal divider into its compartment and used my new PD Packing Cubes and packed ALL of my clothes for a 2 week trip to Ecuador (including suit and dress shoes).
Not only does this bag have the capacity to carry a lot, but it also has the internal organization to keep everything in its place. And the hidden pocket behind the water bottle sleeve came in handy.
This bag is really well-designed and you can tell that a lot of thought went into making it.
I've used this for two international trips (one long haul and one short), plus for going to various local photo shoots. For travel, in the 35L configuration, it fit perfectly in the overhead bin of an A319 and A320. I use it with the Medium Cube, which holds several lenses, my main camera, and backup body. All of the pockets are amazing! When going through airport screening, you can easily put away your phone and everything else in the pockets for scanning. The side pockets hold a tripod and water bottles really. The laptop compartment is spacious and there's a smaller secondary compartment for tablets. For travel and walking about at airport terminals, it's perfect. I wouldn't use it for hiking though because the shoulder straps aren't padded enough. But hiking isn't what this is made for; it's a pure travel backpack and it works really well!
Did my 2 months backpacking in Europe. It was the only bag i took with me. So reliable for me to carry all my stuffs on the road and extremely easy to unpack the extra load ( since everything is properly managed ) and have only the light weight bag to have tour in the countries
