This back pack is not small, it's not the lightest either and it's exactly what I was looking for. Since I've got mine I never had to have a second bag whatsoever with me (like a lunch box that didn't fit if I had my headphones and a vest and some other suff in my backpack). Even if it was just that I'd be sold. But it is also super comfortable. It fits great, and I don't wrestle with the straps each time I put it on. All the features are great and I know I don't take advantage of all of them. I've never loved a back pack that much. Really happy with my purchase.
It was time for a new work/travel pack. I chose Peak to replace my ebag and I know I made a great choice. My first work trip this past week gave me the chance to really test it out. First off the comfort of this pack is amazing. I travel with a lot of crap- laptop, books, binders, headphones, all the wires, gadgets and such, snacks, water bottle to name a few. The pack has tons of pouches and quick access to the top and side of the main storage area. There are handles everywhere so you can quickly grab and manuever it around. And as I mentioned the shoulder straps and pack contour to my back perfectly for a comfortable carry. Thanks for a great pack!
I start following Peak Design from from early age since they start producing 1 generation of CAPTURE, and still using it now. I found Peak Design is a very forward looking company and they are innovative. EVERYDAY BACKPACK is just as what they say, I use it everyday for normal use and for photo gear The pack follow me travelling around and never let me down.
Amazing backpack with tons of capacity and amazing quality on all the materials that has been use on the backpack. couple of things I would want to add is a load lifter and some padding on the waist strap. But overall an amazing backpack.
I have used this bag for many travels and I have to agree with others that it is a very good looking bag with great materials. It has a very large space to store anything and combined with the packing cubes its been a joy to organise.
However not all is great. The bag tends to be on the heavier side which can be a problem if your carryon allowance is very limited like I had with Australian domestic airlines. When it comes comfort, it varies, for short periods it is comfortable however if you're planning on carrying it for a long period you can start to feel the discomfort especially in the straps but it also really depends how loaded the bag is.
Overall the bag is good, in the aesthetic department nothing really comes close. And being a pragmatic bag it does the job really well by being close to the max allowed size for carryon.
I'm loving this travel backpack it's perfect for a few days away & using the packing cubes packs a lot in it including laptop & bits & pieces. The material is really durable & wipes easy clean. I like the stream lines & can put the backpack handles away keeping it neat tidy & fuss free. I also used it for my camera gear using the medium camera cube for my camera stuff & the small cube for my drone. All very easy & convenient to use. Love all my peak design stuff Well done Peak Design
Just came back from a trip in south africa with the travel backpack with packing cube system inside. I love how it's easy to travel with this bag, lots of features, super versatile, i took 6 planes and no question about the size. There is a lot of pockets for every item you put inside, so it's very easy to take what you want inside without messing everything.
I travel most weeks for business, usually 2 or 3 nights. I decided to combine my roller bag and backpack into one to make travel easier. I did a lot of research (by a lot, I mean A LOT). I ordered a Nomatic travel pack and sent it back. It's a great bag, but not quite for me (I thought I wanted a lot of pockets but in the end they actually made the bag cumbersome). The Peak Design travel bag is (almost) perfect. I absolutely love this bag! I love how it looks. I love the quality. I love that it can be big, bigger, biggest. I love that it holds so much. I love that the pockets are large and have zippers. I love the side access. I love that my water bottle gets swallowed up by the bag instead of sticking out like a goiter. I love that the shoulder and waist straps hide away behind magnetic closures. Don't believe what others have written -- they are very easy to store!
Why it's not quite perfect: the top handle has minimal padding, so not easy to carry like a briefcase. It's supposed to be a bag that stands up on its own, but I've found that it only does so if I pack it a certain way. The snaps (to compress it to 30L) are difficult to snap. For me, it requires two hands and I have to fumble to get the snaps to line up. HOWEVER, all these "complaints' are very minor and they do not detract from my overall affection for this bag. Yes, I said affection.
By the way, it fit under my seat on my recent Southwest flight. It was pretty maxed out at the 35L size, but no problem!
