This is best bag in I had many bags. Because this is variable and become big size. But there is one of improve point. It has wrinkle at variable point when I change bag size. Other than that is very good. Thank you Peak design.
Extreme happy with this bag. Same with all the other PD products that I have. Currently waiting for the carbon fibre tripod. Sure the quality will keep up with all previous products. Keep up the good work guys... will support all your products.
I haven't had a big trip yet to test the limits of this bag, however, so far so good. I use this to tote around a change of clothes and all my DnD books (yeah I'm a nerd, want to fight about?). The separate compartments are great for keeping my dirty work clothes away from my books and dice trays. I pretty much use this as larger everyday bag, and it works great for my needs.
If you plan on folding up the divider to make larger cargo space, things get a little tedious because you have have to open both sections on either side (front/back) to do so. (At least I find myself doing that) Overall, I enjoy the bag and it fits my needs. Just as comfy as the everyday backpack as well. The tedious zipper for the separating sections is the only negative thing I have to say about this bag.
Overall good design but for travel it seems heavy. On mine the internal snaps to compress the top will not snap together so I'll be returning soon for warranty replacement and look forward to a pack with this feature functioning. The straps could use more padding as many have suggested but then they might not store away. Some internal & or external compression straps could help decrease the overall bulk to improve storage in plane/train/bus overhead bins and keep load stable.
I thought these bags were designed for photographers by photographers, I don't know what feather light equipment they put in it (maybe a point and shoot pocket camera), but when I put my Nikon FX set in it the shoulder straps dig in after a few minutes. I believe most photographers have equipment like mine as a posed to a pockets camera that they can put in there shirt pockets. PD fix the problem already there are a lot of reviews pointing this out once you start checking.
I'm a dad. Traveling with kids and a wife means walking through an airport with your hands full. This backpack is a game changer for me.
I can take all my clothes and some of my sons for a 7-10 day trip and put it on my back, giving me an extra hand that was previously pulling a suitcase. The hip straps are perfect for taking the load off my shoulders and reducing the strain on my back. I can even have my son sit on the bag instead of my shoulders, since the weight is distributed and the construction is sturdy. That's one less bag to drag and one less kid to chase. And it's comfortable.
it's definitely too big to use as a daily carry, but it's absolutely perfect for me for traveling. It does it's job perfectly.
I have been looking at Peak Design bags for a while now and I finally took the plunge. It was well worth it! The bag is of an incredibly high quality, has so many functions and is really comfortable!
I can highly recommend this to anyone who travels, does photography or just likes plenty of space to store whatever they need.
