Although it's my favorite bag based on what's currently available, I have a few recommendation for v2.0. I've used this bag since last December when release from kickstarter for my trips (ex: Hong Kong, Japan, South korea, London, and Paris).
Recommendation: 1. two side zippers for side opening 2. internal pockets like v2.0 of everyday backpack sides 3. fabic lining for sides so you can have velcro dividers when you do not want to use modular parts 4. adjustable straps for the large back opening so stuff does not fly out when opening it. 5. large pockets for the back section of the laptop / ipad compartments. allow more organization 6. larger opening for laptpo b/c it does not fit 15" dell alienware m15 r2 7. more loops on the sides so that you can use your strap to compress the backpack to make it even smaller (thickness) 8. more loops on the front so you can use strap many different ways to attach stuff on the outside 9. change the button latch reduce it to 35L. it doesn't stay close when you access the compartments. 10. modify the top handle b/c when you grab it, the backpack reacts in a way where the top cause a big cavity. 11. change the zipper loops for all them to have security loops 12. make the pass thru for luggage to be wider
If you are like me you have been searching for the ultimate work/photography travel bag your whole life., I have a dozen bags in the attic that have failed the test. Just received the Peak Design bag for Christmas, haven't taken a trip yet (multiple scheduled in the next couple of months) but the PD travel bag sure looks like it will meet the test. Love the ability to just drop in a camera cube and I'm ready to roll, will save me ton's of packing time. My fingers are crossed
I have been traveling as a photographer for over ten years and have thrashed many camera bags. So far this is the most functional bag I have used! I don't have any doubts it will hold up to my abuse to it. Thanks Peak for the legit gear!
I Love this travel backpack! Very well designed, feels great and it protects all my gear. I use it as an every day carry as well as a travel because of its versatility! Highly recommend!
Beautiful and well constructed backpack. The magnetic features improve the feel and quality, as well as the accessibility of the pockets. The only qualm I have is that some of the zippers are tough to zip and unzip but I think this is a result of the weather proofing, so a fair trade to make.
Overall the bag is constructively built with durability, it has much access to the internal of the bag and the camera cube is well constructed as well. Having the bag on the body for more than 8 hours and with 2 camera, lens and other items, it can be a strain to the back, as the overall bag is not light even without any items. The adjustable shoulder strap seems to slip during long hours of wearing it on the body and have to adjust it when the shoulders feel the strain.
